So I was reflecting and had no one to talk to so, guess that’s why there are blogs? You can say what you mean to who you mean or anyone and not only get it off your chest, but leave a record of it. Sometimes that’s good other times its bad. In this case wanted to talk to my wife she doesn’t feel good and is busy. In any case I just wanted to say this so who I say it too doesn’t really matter I just got to say it!
So unfortunate news this week of Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren’s son committing suicide at age 27. Apparently he had tried it when he was 17 and now he successfully closed the deal. An interesting point is that Pastor Rick and apparently his wife struggle with deep depression much like there son did. They have fought it and deal with it and unfortunately the son was not able to.
My observation was that satan knows your weak area and likes to drill it even worse: Something that one of the most influential pastors in the word (Rick Warren) struggles with – depression and now one of the most depressing things that could ever happen for a parent has happened; the loss of their child!
A fallen world, a fallen problem, something that is hard to explain the existence of for a child who professed to know Christ, has the claim of defeat on satan. To be finished…interrupted
