What causes one person to workout to look better or at least attempt to change? What causes another to eat healthy and the other to fail to notice their resistance, refusal or blindness to a situation?
All important questions for oneself and for relationships. It is always easy to see the ‘speck’ in someone else’s eye why can’t or what causes us to try to manage their ‘speck’ over our log? I constantly tell my kids the only one you can control is you, yet observations of anything other than edifying them is only an admission of your own problems or insecurities I guess? Right?
I mean if they ask do you give them honest criticism or is that even what they want? No you encourage them by cheerleading them to become who they desire to be. How do you get out of their way and give them a boost from behind instead of a stab in the heart or the back from critical words.
In life there is I guess really only two things training or cheerleading? Is that even right? I mean someone pays or request you to train them or you join the military for training, no one has asked for open criticism.
In all that I say, it is hard but I expect a bloody tongue as I strive to work on me and not on others, their flaws or humorous attributes; I control me and that is what I control-my flaws and my attributes!
