A time out may be just what you/I need!

Of late or maybe I should say for the last couple of years, I have become accustomed to being locked away.  That is in my office for 10, 12, 14 or more hours at a time only getting up to got to the restroom, get food or something to drink and sometimes I don’t do that even.  Well as it turns out, which maybe I could have learned from my prior life of an office commute…one of the most productive times I thought for me was 6pm in the car after work my brain was on full tilt of ideas.

Well, now some 15+ years later I realize, it wasn’t 6pm and I come alive, it was the private solace of the car ride and time to think and digest.  A time when I could explore the thoughts and problems of the day and arm chair quarterback them in retrospective or without the pressure of an immediate solution for the “fire of the moment”.   Since I don’t mow the law and I have the Ipod (sorry is there really any other reference today-I mean Kleenex/Band-Aid, you feel me) or at least the people or interaction distraction at the gym  that seems to be my only place to ‘get away from it all’.  Well…

NOTE TO SELF:  Get up from your desk, leave the office go out and exist at least a little bit during the day, without a specific activity going on – focusing on the road excluded- and it will make your day a whole lot more productive and beneficial!

Okay hope I got it and can apply it

Obligatory Will Rogers quotes

Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.

There are 3 kinds of people the one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking spaces.
