Well I read a funny article in the LA Times a few days ago and it just drove home a point that I found very humorous in the article. The point of the article was to review windows 7 and say that it was good, pretty solid etc. However it also compared the marketing genius of Apple, so true and the fact that Microsoft is now reduced to rainbows and unicorns in their scramble to combat the marketing brilliance of the ‘Steve Jobs’ machine.
The article went on to say what proves in my opinion to quantify what I have not found the proper words to explain and that is the difference between Mac Users and PC users. Every Mac loyalist that I know says “if you had a Mac you wouldn’t have to worry about that”, “gee on a Mac it figures it out for you”, “on a Mac it doesn’t crash”.
Well in Mr. Neil’s article he points out the really difference in the two Mac’ies and PC users
” …and my impression is that you actually have to be a little more on your game, tech-wise, to use a PC. My Macs drive themselves. PC users are the clever ones.”
now granted it doesn’t take into account the 97% of the PC populous that is stuck with a PC and should be a Mac user or as I would say the idiots! Case in point I got this email from someone this morning about their “MAJOR computer problems” and their inability to add my email to their newsletter. Well I translate that to mean they don’t know how to use the computer and the “MAJOR computer problems” is them!
Sorry for the idiot of the day today I don’t mean it personally. I mean my wife has a Mac and it is great and great for her 🙂 and hey it is incredible for video editing, but I still prefer my PC for my web development and my tasks cause the mind control of ‘Steve’ is much worse than ‘Mr. Gates’ look at the iPhone (one carrier and no access to add a memory card), Mac (no control “it figures it out for you”), and iTunes until recently you were restricted on what kind of music file you could buy from them and you couldn’t convert it to MP3, which the rest of the world uses, but not Mac.
Not a Mac hater, just sayin…think about it – just truths, not slights!
